What is Intenty?

Intenty, previously known as Acture/Actuflow, is an innovative Android app crafted to enhance mindfulness and intentionality in device usage. At its core, Intenty encourages users to ponder, “Why do I use the device?” right at the onset of usage. Its standout feature is a prompt form that appears immediately after unlocking your device, nudging you to define your intention before proceeding.

Why should I care?

Intenty is more than just an app; it’s a tool for empowerment. It helps you take charge of your smartphone usage, and support your mental health and well-being. In an age where digital distraction is rampant, Intenty offers a path to more mindful and purposeful digital interactions. All of that with privacy in mind - Intenty does not collect any data from your device.

Born out of personal need and developed in our spare time, Intenty is a genuine, user-focused project, not a venture-capital-backed startup fixated on accumulating personal and usage information. The goal isn’t to harvest your data or hook you on screen time. It’s a project of a Software engineer, dedicated to making a difference, one intentional interaction at a time.
